Where do Destination Lagon excursions take place?

Our excursions take place in Raiatea and Taha’a, in the heart of the Leeward Islands in French Polynesia. We explore the lagoon to discover motu, coral gardens, cultural sites and locations accessible only by boat.

What types of excursions do you offer?

Destination Lagon offers several lagoon experiences: full-day excursions to Taha’a in small groups or as private tours, the “Land & Sea” excursion in Raiatea as a private or semi-private tour, underwater scooter snorkeling outings, and fishing trips available as half-day or full-day excursions.

Are the excursions suitable for families?

Yes. Most of our excursions are suitable for families, with attentive supervision and activities accessible to children. Some experiences may be subject to minimum age requirements, which are specified on the excursion page.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Being able to swim is recommended to fully enjoy water activities, but it is not mandatory. Accessible swimming areas are selected, and the crew ensures the safety of all participants at all times.

What can I see during snorkeling activities?

The lagoons of Raiatea and Taha’a are home to remarkable marine biodiversity, including tropical fish, corals, rays, harmless reef sharks and sometimes turtles. Snorkeling spots are chosen according to daily conditions.

How long do the excursions last?

Depending on the experience selected, excursions last from half a day to a full day. Exact schedules are provided on each excursion page.

Where is the meeting point for the excursions?

The default meeting point is in front of the Shell gas station in downtown Uturoa, on Raiatea Island. For some excursions and subject to availability, hotel pick-up is possible. In this case, please specify it in the optional message during checkout so our team can confirm feasibility.

What is included in the excursion price?

The price generally includes boat transportation, supervision by a local crew, snorkeling equipment and drinks on board. Exact inclusions are detailed on each excursion page.

How can I book an excursion?

Bookings are made directly online on our website. Payment is 100% secure and processed on the Banque de Tahiti website via an approved payment platform. A booking confirmation is sent by email once the payment is validated.
